2016 - FläktGroup is formed

“Fläkt Woods” & “DencoHappel” merged into “FläktGroup” owned by Triton Partners.

 

From the very outset and for more than 100 years (since 1909), FläktGroup has been a company that cares about our shared environment and the people around us. Indoor ventilation solutions affect everyone – whether you see our products or not.

 

Today we deliver products all over the world. We have sales in 65 countries, manufacturing in Europe, Asia and the US. At FläktGroup there are more than 3500 dedicated and proud colleagues delivering one of the most comprehensive offerings in the market.

“Fläkt Woods” acquired by Sagard, Barclays Private Equity, ICG and Management

“Fläkt Woods” acquired by Triton Partner

2006 - GEA Denco created

GEA acquires „Denco“ creating „GEA Denco“ part of „GEA Heat Exchangers“

 

2014

„GEA Heat Exchangers“ split into „GEA Air Treatment and sold to Triton Partners“

 

2015

GEA Air Treatment“ became „DencoHappel GmbH“

“Svenska Fläktfabriken” founded in Jönköping, Sweden

“ASEA” takes control of “Svenska Fläktfabriken”

 

1960

“AB Svenska Fläktfabriken” listed on stock exchange

“ASEA” re-acquires majority of “Fläkt Group”

 

1988

“ABB” is formed and acquires reminder of “Fläkt Group”

Maurice Woods forms “Woods” in Colchester, UK

GEC acquires majority of “Woods”

GEC acquires reminder of “Woods”

 

2000

“Woods Air Movement” sold to Global Air Movement Holdings Ltd

 

2021

Fläkt Woods rebrands itself and changes their trading name to Woods Air Movement, a brand under FläktGroup.

“Denco” became part of William Press Group

William Press Group merged with Leonard Fairclough & Sons forming “AMEC plc” including “Denco”

“Denco” Management buyout and uncouple from AMEC plc

“Happel KG” is founded as part of GEA
